"C'est tout?" asked Pablo Picasso apparently on the occasion of his visit to Hedy and Arthur Hahnloser's art collection in the Villa Flora in Winterthur. Perhaps disappointed that the Hahnlosers did not want to include any of his pictures in their collection. This anecdote is the inspiration for the work C'est tout (?).
The blue neon writing flickers slightly and the question mark lights up and disappears again. The lettering shuttles back and forth between question and statement, radiating anew. The question of art and the art collection is posed and the end of an era with the simultaneous departure into the new is discussed.
On a second level, further questions arise on the first question: "Is that all? Is that enough? Should that be enough? Do you need more?"
All questions about frugality or even about doing without - and current questions about the ecological and social crises of our time.
